New Resident Information
THERE IS A PERMIT YOU CAN GET FROM THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR MOVING VANS. YOU APPLY AND THEN POST THE AREA WHERE THE MOVING VAN WILL BE 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE. THEN YOUR AREA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR MOVE IN. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT NOW THAT THERE IS SO MUCH CONSTRUCTION ON THE ISLAND AND IT MAY BE HARD TO PARK A LARGE MOVING VAN WITH ALL THE CONTRACTORS VEHICLES. THE COST is $52.00 plus $1.00 for each sign - you need at least 2 signs.
